If we could encapsulate the influence of the constellation Aquarius, we would have to talk about ordinary people like you and me becoming something much more heavenly and glorious. For starters, the Aquarius is a heavenly man pouring out a vessel of heavenly water. Anytime we get these images of a flow of living water we are directed to the Holy Spirit being poured out on all flesh. That is certainly part of this picture in the stars. But the other cosmic story here is who is pouring out the water. The Aquarius is a heavenly water bearer. In the past, it has been depicted as a man, but with wings like an angel. This is no ordinary man. It is a picture of a complete and whole person. It’s someone who has finished the story of redemption and is fully glorified and re-formed.
When the Father took my face in His hands just a few days ago, the expression on His face was one of longing desire. It was a passionate and determined look. His desire was for me to see the immortal environment with immortal eyes. He wanted me to go beyond being “in the Spirit” and towards a full heavenly reality. There is no denying that any pull towards the heavenly dimension is countered with a pull to stay rooted down here. It’s an unavoidable fight. The practice of letting yourself be conscious there means you are less conscious here, and that can be a little disconcerting. It’s a lot like the words of the old hymn, “Turn you eyes upon Jesus.” The line I’m speaking of goes like this, “and the things of the earth will go strangely dim…”
When the things of this earth go strangely dim, what’s happens then? Have you had those moments when you feel yourself letting go and all the trappings of this earthly environment fade out. Then, you feel yourself actually living in the heavenly places. But, it is a journey into the unknown, and most of us don’t realize that we still hold on to this world with a tight grip, even as we are exploring the heavens with Him. I feel fortunate that I talk with people almost daily who are reaching farther and farther into the heavenly dimension. It’s so helpful to share our experiences and encourage one another; and it’s also helpful to share our fears.
I must say, when the Father reached for me and said He wanted me to see it with my own eyes, I knew I was in the midst of a change in time. The month of Aquarius is all about reaching farther up into the immortal dimension than ever before. It’s about a month of growth in your practices in the Spirit. Don’t let this celebration in time pass you by. See how much you can concentrate on being in that dimension this month, and let’s let the light of this constellation influence us accordingly.
Here’s some suggestions for this month that I’ll be doing personally. Take some extra time in the Spirit, in the heavenly places. If you don’t have some disciplined time, now might be a good time to start. If you already set aside the time, try to push yourself a little bit. See how much of the mortal realm you can tune out while your up there. Sometimes, this can be one of the hardest things to practice, but it goes a long way in helping you live in the eternal environment as opposed to just observing it. You can do this by letting go of earthly concerns and worries, or simply doing everything possible to tune out the mortal environment. Try to push out the earthly stimuli and set your senses solely on the heavenly impressions. And lastly, share your experiences with someone. You never know how many people are out there just waiting to celebrate the month of Aquarius with you.
By the way, here’s a little Aquarius mention from Jesus when He was preparing for the Passover:
Then came the first day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. And Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, so that we may eat it.” They said to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare it?” And He said to them, “When you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house that he enters. And you shall say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”’
In other words, when it came time to celebrate the Passover, Jesus told them to look for the Aquarius. I like the idea of that feast coinciding with a mention of heavenly, glorified people, which was the whole redemptive reason behind Jesus being the Passover Lamb of God.
God speed in your heavenly journeys this month!
